Productive Knitting Week

I did well this week with my knitting.  I finished the Haystack Socks.  I used a size 1 needle with the Sanguine Gryphon’s Bugga in the color Familiar Bluet.  I forgot how nice this yarn is.  The pattern was very easy.

I finally finished the Voodo you Love me Zombie doll.  I used a size 4 needle with Gnomeacres yarn in the Voodo you Love me color.  I got the heart button from her too.  Love the yarn and the pattern.

Zombie

I finished one basic sock using Lollipop yarn in the Lavender Fields color.  I just love the colors and the striping.  I used a size 1 needle with this pattern.

I also finished day 2 of the 2011 Advent Calendar Scarf.  I am using a size 2 needle with Madelinetosh merino light in the rainwater color.  This is the first time I am using beads in a project.  I started using a crochet hook and then switched to my fleegle beader.  The fleegle beader is great!

Advent Scarf 2011 - Day 2

I got my Seusstastic order from Dancing Dog Dyeworks.  The yarn is a sport weight.  I got a full skein of the Seusstastic color and a half skein of orange to go with it.

DDD - Sport - Seustastic and Orange

I also got Madelinetosh Sock in the Fireside color.  I am going to use this to make a scarf.

Still working on the mimi cowl with the mink yarn.  It is so soft. I plan to start another shawl this week and maybe another sock.

It was a nice relaxing week

I really enjoyed this week.  The weather wasn’t too bad and I was able to relax, knit and read.

I blocked the cinnamon toast shawl that I finished.  I love how this shawl turned out.

I started another sock.  I got the Lavender Fields striping yarn from Lollipop yarns and had to cast on for a sock.  I am using a size 1 needle with a basic sock pattern.  I think I will do a heel flap for this sock rather than an afterthought heel.  I love the colors.

Lavender Fields

I did order some yarn.  I got the Loopy Ewe Mother’s day kit.  Actually, I ordered it for the mug, but the yarn is nice.  It’s Julie Spins glimmer yarn in Tuscany.  I also got a notepad and stitch marker.  It is a nice package.

Loopy Ewe - Mothers Day

I started the 2011 calendar scarf.  My friends and I are doing one pattern per week.  This pattern calls for beads and it’s the first time I am knitting something using beads.  I am broadening my horizons by trying something different.  Pictures coming next time.

Casting On

I am on a roll.  I finished two more projects.  The Sunny Baby Blanket is complete.  I used Encore worsted yarn in the color 449 with a size 8 needle.  I omitted one repeat and it worked out great.

Sunny Baby Blanket

I also finished the Cinnamon Toast shawl.  I used Madelinetosh Pashmina in the color antique lace with a size 4 needle.  I loved knitting this shawl, but the ruffle seemed to take forever.  Here is a picture of it blocking:

So, since I cast off two projects.  I started more.  I cast on for the Mimi cowl using the mimi yarn by Lotus yarns in the color grey.  This yarn is a mink yarn and it is soooooo soft.  I love it.

Mimi Cowl

I also cast on for the Haystacks socks using a size 1 needle.  The yarn is Sanguine Gryphon’s Bugga in Familiar Bluet.  I haven’t used Bugga in awhile and I forgot how nice this yarn is.  The Pattern is very easy and since these socks are on my Addi Sock Rockets, they are flying off the needles.

Haystacks Sock 1 - Heel Turn

I finally am finished working for this tax season.  I still can’t believe it and keep pinching myself that I got through tax season.  It’s perfect timing too since we had several warm days this week.  Spring is finally here.

82 Pairs of Socks

I have knitted 82 pairs of socks so far and I’m not stopping.  I love knitting socks.  They are so portable and I love wearing them.

I finished the Lollipop yarn Big Kitty socks.  I used a size 1 needle using Addi Sock Rocket needles.  I love the needles.  The points are the same as Addi lace, but the needles are slicker and I feel as if my stitches are flying off the needles.

Big Kitty Sock

I also finished the Skype socks using Gnomeacres sock yarn in the I lurve Ewe color with a size 0 needle.

Skype Socks Complete

I bought three skeins of yarn.  I got Gnomeacres Squishy Gnome (worsted weight) in Little Bunny Foo Foo.

GnomeAcres - Little Bunny Foo Foo

I couldn’t resist Lollipop sock yarn in Lavender Fields and Spring Fever.

Still working on the Sunny Baby Blanket.  I am getting close to finishing it and I’m working on the ruffle of the Cinnamon Toast Shawl.
