It’s getting colder

I finally turned on the heat about a week ago.  It killed me to do that.  It did warm up for a day or two and now it’s getting cooler.  At least it’s above freezing.

I hadn’t been knitting much, but  this week I got back into it.  I worked on my second Must Stash Night at the Roxberry sock.  I used a size 1 needle with Must Stash yarn perfect sock in the color Night at the Roxberry using a basic sock pattern.

I couldn’t wait to start on another sock and since it’s close to Halloween, I cast on another Must Stash yarn perfect sock  in the color Oh Spooky.  I am using a size 1 needle with a basic sock pattern.  I plan on doing a heel flap for this sock, so I am going to use some black yarn for the heel.

I like knitting dishcloths and haven’t been knitting much of those lately.  I particularly like the pattern called Almost Lost Washcloth.  It’s a circular pattern and it knits up quickly.  I used a size 7 needle with Lion Brand Cotton in the Americana color.  The pattern calls for 14 points, but I made 15.

I also made a mini Almost Lost Washcloth in the same yarn and color.  This pattern calls for 9 points, but I knit 10.  This will make a great coaster.  I will definitely be making more of these.

I have been buying yarn.  How can I refuse?  From Knit Purl I bought Bumblebirch yarn in the Glen base.  It’s a fingering yarn composed of 80% superwash yarn and 20% silk.  It’s beautiful yarn. I got a skein of fog and eggplant.

I also bought another skein of Lollipop Yarn in her Gripes base in the color Rebel without a Rainbow.

Lastly, I got a Loopy Kit from the Loopy Ewe.  The pattern is by Susan B. Anderson and the yarn is from their Loopy Series in the colors red, tan and white.  This is such a cute pattern.

Well, must go knit some more.

I can’t believe it’s October!

I haven’t updated my blog since early September and I really haven’t been knitting too much.  I have been busy working and taking classes.  I think it has finally settled down and I can get back to the knitting.  I have already started and I am going crazy with casting on.

I did finish one of the Night at the Roxberry socks (except for the heel)  This is Perfect sock by Must Stash yarn in the color, Night at the Roxberry.  I am using a size 1 needle

I want to do both afterthought heels when I finish both socks.  I just cast on for the second sock today.

I love Must Stash Yarn and was able to buy two more skeins.  I got Oh! Spooky in Perfect Sock and Elsa and Anna in her Ritz base.  I plan to cast on the Oh! Spooky very shortly to make the socks in time for Halloween.

I am working on my second Antarktis shawl.  I am using Shalimar Breathless in the color scarab with a size 5 needle.  I am getting close to finishing this shawl.

My local yarn shop got Malabrigo in, so I had to buy some of it.  I got the Malabrigo Mecha yarn in the color Candome.

So, I cast on for the Garter Stitch Eternity Cowl.  I am using a size 10 needle. I love the yarn.

I did knit a dishcloth from the Dishcloth Diva book.  I made the organic dishcloth using a size 7 needle with Universal Cotton yarn in the color 611 turquoise.  I really didn’t like this yarn.  It was too soft for me.

Well, hopefully, I will be knitting more than I have been.
