Spring Forward

Well, it’s finally here.  Daylight Savings Time starts tonight and for some reason it means the start of Spring for me.  I am ready for it.  Currently, the temperature is 51 degrees and it feels great.  We were suppose to have snow this past week, but hardly got anything.  I hope it stays that way.

I haven’t been doing too much knitting.  I don’t know why, I guess my mojo has slowed down.

I did work a bit on the Simple Skype socks using Gnome Acres yarn in the color I lurve Ewe with a size 0 needle.  I love how they are turning out and it’s a very simple pattern.

I have also been working on the Sunny Baby Blanket.  I need to get this finished by the end of April.  Baby is on her way.  I am using Encore worsted yarn in the color 449 (pink).

I really have been good on the yarn buying.  I had over a $50 credit for the Loopy Ewe, so I got several skeins of yarn there and only spent around $18 out of pocket.  From left to right, Malabrigo Worsted in the color Sealing Wax, Dream in Color Everlasting from the February Dream in Color Club, and Malabrigo sock in the color Piedras.

I also couldn’t resist buying a skein of Lotus Yarn’s mimi in a grey color.  The yarn is mink and I saw a sample cowl knitted up using it and it was so soft.  Had it buy it.

But, I did pass up buying Madelinetosh at my local yarn shop.  They got merino and sport yarn in and I decided to pass this time around.  I am on a roll!
